Offering Guided Trips on Lake Calaveras and Guadalupe River

Catfishing Trips on Lake Calaveras
Lake Calaveras is one of south Texas' premier catfishing destinations. It holds a healthy supply of channel and blue catfish that can be effectively caught year round. On most trips I will introduce various methods that have proven successful for catching catfish time and time again. I specialize in catfishing trips and enjoy turning anglers onto fishing for catfish.  On our trips we defy what most people think of when they think catfishing. Calaveras offers a variety of successful methods to catch fish. Fishing shallow for Catfish is a much overlooked method that produces very well for Lake Calaveras. Shallow water catfishing can yield alot of fast and fun action. Fishing the "birds" or commorant roosts is another effective technique I apply at Calaveras that yields fish. I will also fish deep on structure using my electronics (sonar) as another effective method in locating fish depending on current conditions of the lake and weather. You will not find yourself anchored down in one spot for hours waiting for the fish to come to you on our trips, I focus on finding the active feeding fish.
Calaveras Trips generally will consist of channel catfish in generous numbers with some blue catfish and occasional freshwater redfish being caught.  I will cater to your needs on any trip and can accomodate any skill level of fishing. If you simply want to learn the lake, spots that hold fish year round, learn how and where to catch shad, how to use different types of catfish baits, target larger fish or catch a cooler full for a fish fry, I will do my best to fullfill your needs and expectations.
All catfish over 10 pounds will be released. I will take multiple photo's of the fish and measure it for a replica or TPW Big Fish Award if you desire. There will be ample amounts of eating size fish being caught on your trip.

Calaveras & Braunig Evening Trips
"The working man's trip"
. These trips are offered during the spring and summer to beat the heat and allow anglers the chance to go fishing after work. The Calaveras Trips usually start around 5:30-6:00 pm and offer alot of fun having lighted and glowing bobbers go down after a fish bites them.  These trips are ideal for those who have to work but still would like to squeeze in some fishing and are great for kids.  Evening trips allow for some fast and fun action at Calaveras ecspecially right before and after dark. If you've never tried fishing this way, it's an extremely fun way to fish at night.

Choke Canyon Trips
Choke Canyon Resovoir trips will be done from the Calliham Unit at Choke; near Three Rivers, Texas. . Choke trips will start at 7:30 am and will be full day trips only. The fishing and scenery at Choke is truly phenenomal and alot can be expected out on the lake for the day. There is a two person minimum on these trips at $300.00 for a FULL DAY and $50.00 each additional person. Each trip can expect Blue catfish to be the majority of the fish caught. The potential for large fish is greater at Choke than any other resovoir we fish, so if you hunting for big one, this is the lake you want. If you have never expierenced the pull of blue cat and some great South Texas Scenery with aligators, deer and turkeys; this is a great opportunity to catch it all!

Braunig Lake Trips
Braunig
Lake is located just off Interstate I37 at Donop Rd. Braunig Lake trips are usually done as evening or early morning trips until winter/fall. Braunig offers quality over quantity generally along with the occasional school of Hybrid Stripers adding a mix to your catch. Braunig is a beautiful little lake tucked away minutes from San Antonio and offers great catfishing.
